My Training & Approach

I am the type of person who is continuously learning and refining my craft. My work is grounded in psychodynamic and experiential models of treatment (AEDP, ISTDP), which allow us to go beneath surface symptoms and engage with the deeper patterns shaping your life and relationships.

In my couples work, I draw on Terry Real’s Relational Life Therapy (RLT) model, which helps partners move out of entrenched dynamics and into more authentic, balanced connection.

At the heart of my practice is deep curiosity. I am always exploring new perspectives and approaches, seeking out advanced training, and challenging myself to grow as a clinician—because I believe my clients deserve therapy that is both rigorous and alive.

If you are also working with other mental health or medical practitioners, I welcome the opportunity to collaborate with them. Coordinating care ensures you receive the most comprehensive and effective support possible.

My Style

I’m an experienced psychotherapist based in Durham (NC), originally from Europe. Living and working across cultures has shaped how I see people: there isn’t just one way to heal or grow, and I bring that perspective into every session.

I’m not the kind of therapist who just nods and lets you talk in circles. I’ll interrupt you when I notice a pattern, challenge you when you’re avoiding something, and help you face the places you usually turn away from. My role isn’t just to listen—it’s to help you actually change the direction of your life.

We’ll set clear goals together and check in on them often. If something isn’t working, we’ll adjust. You can expect me to be both supportive and direct. Sometimes therapy feels uncomfortable, but that’s where real growth happens.

I also pay close attention to how you and I relate. The way you show up with me often reflects how you show up in other relationships. Noticing those patterns in real time can open up blind spots and give you new insight into yourself.

If you’re ready for a therapist who’s engaged, honest, and not afraid to push you while standing right beside you, I’d love to hear from you.
